Steps
Method 1 of 4: A water dragon

Step 1. Draw an oval for the head

Step 2. Draw a sharp curved line connecting you to the oval you drew earlier to further round out the outline of the head

Step 3. Draw a jagged line for the mouth

Step 4. Draw curved lines with sharp edges like horns

Step 5. Draw another set of curved lines as fringe

Step 6. Draw an S-shaped curved line for the neck and part of the body

Step 7. Draw the same S-shaped curved line as the previous one

Step 8. Draw a circle for the main body part

Step 9. Draw a series of curved lines that you attach to the triangles of the tail and the feet

Step 10. Draw ovals attached to the curved lines for the largest feet of the water dragon

Step 11. Draw the rest of the dragon according to the sketch now made

Step 12. Add details like eyes, horns, scales and vertebrae

Step 13. Remove the unnecessary outlines

Method 2 of 4: A realistic dragon (Fantasy)

Step 1. Draw an elongated head

Step 2. Draw a smaller oval inside the head for the mouth

Step 3. Draw a few arcs for the fringe

Step 4. Draw a circle for the dragon's chest

Step 5. Draw curved lines for connecting the dragon's head

Step 6. Draw a large curved line for the body and tail

Step 7. Complete the outline of the body and tail following the curved line you drew earlier

Step 8. Draw 4 ovals for the feet

Step 9. Draw a series of ovals to complete the feet

Step 10. Draw sharp curved lines on the feet as claws

Step 11. Draw a series of curved lines for the wings

Step 12. Draw a series of curved lines on the lines you drew earlier to complete the outline of the wings

Step 13. Draw the main parts of the dragon, based on the outlines

Step 14. Add in the details like eyes, flaming breath, scales and vertebrae

Step 15. Remove unnecessary outlines

Method 3 of 4: The realistic dragon

Step 1. Draw a cube in perspective for the dragon's nose

Step 2. Draw another cube in perspective below it

Step 3. Draw straight lines up from the top cube and connect them to make pointy horns

Step 4. Sketch a line for the body, starting from the neck and up to the tail

Step 5. Connect lines from the body for the dragon's limbs. Draw a few more lines for the claws. Also draw a smooth line for the tongue

Step 6. Draw the details of the dragon based on the sketch

Step 7. Erase all unwanted lines and add more details

Step 8. Draw a guideline along the entire body as a direction for the flames

Step 9. Draw the flames as indicated by the guideline sketch

Step 10. Color the dragon
Method 4 of 4: A comic style dragon

Step 1. Draw a stretched oval as the dragon's nose

Step 2. Add some extra ovals for the eyes and draw some antennae as guidelines for the horns

Step 3. Draw 2 small ovals for the nostrils and a tapered circle for the mouth

Step 4. Draw a large oval for the abdomen

Step 5. Add two more overlapping ovals to the abdomen for the thighs of the dragon's hind legs

Step 6. Add two smaller ovals for the legs, just below the thigh ovals

Step 7. Now draw a guideline from the eye ovals up to the top of the tail, for the shoulders, back and tail of the dragon

Step 8. Using these guide lines, draw the shoulders, back and tail lines, next to the dragon's belly

Step 9. Draw some small ovals for the front legs

Step 10. Draw two curved lines from the neck up, followed by two connected lines for the wings

Step 11. Draw all further details according to the sketch
