Step 2. Heat a tablespoon of ghee or oil

Once the oil is hot, add a teaspoon of cumin seeds. Let the seed splatter in the oil. When you hear the seed start to crackle, it means the flavor is released.

  • If you don't have a pressure cooker, you can also cook dalia in a large pan. The steps you need to perform remain the same, add the oil and then the cumin seeds.
  • Now quickly cut the vegetables. If you want to make dalia with vegetables you have to clean and cut them now. Usually you use onion, tomato, carrot, potato and peas. Wash your vegetables well before cutting them
  • Cut the tomato and onion.
  • Now cut the carrots and wash and cut the potatoes.
  • Now peel the peas (you can also buy peeled peas).

Make Dalia Step 6

Step 1. Rinse the dalia

As with rice, dalia tastes best if you rinse it before cooking. Add a cup of clean dalia to the pressure cooker and fry the vegetables every three or four minutes. Always keep stirring so that the dalia does not become a big sticky mess.

You can also cook the dalia separately before putting it in the pressure cooker
