This article will show you how to use UC Browser to download YouTube videos on your computer running on Windows. While you can no longer download videos through UC Browser's built-in settings, you can download most YouTube videos using a website called Online Video Converter. Attempting to download heavily protected videos such as music videos or paid videos will usually lead to an error message.
Step 1. Download and install UC Browser for Windows 10 app if necessary
If you have not yet installed UC Browser and are using Windows 10, you can install the UC Browser app from the Windows 10 Store. Click on 'Start'
and then do the following:
- Type store.
- Click on the icon
from the "Microsoft Store" app.
- Click on the magnifying glass icon to search.
- Type uc browser and then press ↵ Enter.
- Click on 'UC Browser'
- Click on 'Retrieve'
Step 2. Open UC Browser
Click 'Startup' in the Microsoft Store or click (or double click) the icon of the UC Browser app. This icon is in Start or on your desktop.
Step 3. Open the Video Converter website
Go to https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/video-converter in UC Browser.
Step 4. Copy the address of a YouTube video
Go to the video you want to download to open it and then select the address of the video in the address bar at the bottom of UC Browser. Then press Ctrl+C.
Remember that you are not allowed to download things such as music videos or other professionally protected material (eg paid videos)
Step 5. Paste the address of the video into Online Video Converter
Click the 'Paste link here' text box at the top of the page, then press Ctrl+V.
Step 6. Click on the 'Format' drop-down menu
It's just below the text field where you pasted the video's address. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 7. Click on mp4
It's in the drop-down menu on the right.
Step 8. Click DOWNLOAD
This is the blue button on the right side of the page. This will download your video.
