This article will teach you how to install and use TeamViewer to remotely connect to a computer, such as your own computer while you are at school or at work, as long as TeamViewer software is installed on both computers.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Installing TeamViewer (Windows)

Step 1. Open a browser
TeamViewer must be installed both on the computer you want to use remotely and on the computer you are currently using. The same program must be installed on both.

Step 2. Visit TeamViewer's website

Step 3. Click the Download TeamViewer button
This will download the installation file for Windows.

Step 4. Click on the downloaded installation file
It's at the bottom of your browser window or you can find it in the Downloads folder.

Step 5. Click on Standard Installation option
As a result, TeamViewer is installed to be operated remotely as well as to be operated remotely.
Windows allows TeamViewer to be used without it being installed, which can be useful if you are using a computer for which you do not have administrative permissions. Select "Run only (one time use)" as the installation option

Step 6. Click Personal/Noncommercial Use
This indicates that you are using TeamViewer for free from home.

Step 7. Click Finish

Step 8. Click Next on the TeamViewer window that appears after installation

Step 9. Enter a name and create a password for your computer
Under this name, the computer will appear in TeamViewer and the password is required when connecting remotely.
This password must be different from your Windows login password

Step 10. Create a TeamViewer account (optional)
After entering a computer name and creating a password, you will be prompted to create an account. This is not required to use TeamViewer. If you want to skip this, click on 'I don't want to create a TeamViewer account now' and click Next.

Step 11. Write down the TeamViewer ID and Password somewhere
This number and password will be used to access this computer remotely.

Step 12. Click Finish
You can now start using the TeamViewer program to accept connections from remote computers or to control computers remotely.
Part 2 of 4: Installing TeamViewer (Mac)

Step 1. Open a browser
The process to install TeamViewer is the same as for a computer that you will be controlling remotely or a computer that you are using to access another computer. All computers connected via TeamViewer use the same client.

Step 2. Visit TeamViewer's website

Step 3. Click Download TeamViewer
This will download the TeamViewer for Mac computers installation file.

Step 4. Click the TeamViewer.dmg file in your Downloads list
You'll find this list at the right end of your Dock.

Step 5. Double click Install TeamViewer

Step 6. Click Continue and then Continue

Step 7. Click Agree

Step 8. Click Install
Teamviewer will be installed and this should only take a few moments. Enter your password when prompted.

Step 9. Click Continue
If you are installing TeamViewer to connect to another computer, you can click 'Skip' instead.

Step 10. Create a password
This password must be entered when you connect to this computer.

Step 11. Click Finish
You can now either connect this computer to another computer with TeamViewer, or use the TeamViewer program to connect to a computer remotely.

Step 12. Write down your ID and password somewhere
You will see this in the TeamViewer window and both are required to connect to this computer remotely.
Part 3 of 4: Connecting to a TeamViewer Computer

Step 1. Install TeamViewer on the computer you are using to connect
Follow the steps for Windows or Mac to install the TeamViewer program on the computer you are currently using. The process is the same as setting it up for a remote connection.

Step 2. Start TeamViewer on the computer you are using to connect

Step 3. Enter the Partner ID for the remote computer in the Partner ID field
This will prompt TeamViewer to connect to the remote computer you set up earlier.

Step 4. Click Connect to Partner

Step 5. Type in the password
This is the password you created when you set up your computer remotely. If you can't remember it, you can view it in the TeamViewer window on the remote computer.

Step 6. Control the computer remotely
Once connected, you can control the other computer from your TeamViewer window. You can perform actions as if you were using the computer itself.

Step 7. Click the File Transfer button to transfer files between computers
This makes it possible to easily select files on your local computer and send them to the remote computer, or vice versa.

Step 8. Click the Exit button to end the session
This will terminate the remote session and return you to your regular desktop.
Part 4 of 4: Connecting to a TeamViewer computer (iPhone and Android)

Step #1. Open the App Store or Play Store
Once you have configured TeamViewer on a remote computer, you can connect to it and control the device with your iPhone or Android device. The TeamViewer Remote Control app can be installed for free via the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2. Press the Search tab or field

Step 3. Type "teamviewer" in the Search field

Step 4. Press Get next to TeamViewer:
Remote Control (iPhone). If you're using an iPhone, you'll need to hit the Get button before you can hit Install.

Step 5. Press Install
This will install TeamViewer.

Step 6. Press Open once the app is installed
You can also find the TeamViewer app on your Home screen (iPhone) or in your list of apps (Android).

Step 7. Press Next to skip the guide
There are multiple screens before you can use the app.

Step 8. Press the TeamViewer ID field

Step 9. Type the TeamViewer ID of the computer you want to connect to
This 9 digit ID is displayed in the TeamViewer window of the remote computer.

Step 10. Press Remote Control
The TeamViewer app will try to connect to the remote computer.

Step 11. Type the password
The password is visible just below the TeamViewer ID on the remote computer.

Step 12. Check out the instructions
You will see a screen that briefly explains how to operate the computer via touchscreen.

Step 13. Press Continue
This will close the instructions screen.

Step 14. Press and drag the mouse
Pressing and dragging on the screen will move the cursor.

Step 15. Press to click
This performs one mouse click. To double click, press twice in quick succession.

Step 16. Press and hold to right click
This will open the right-click menu.

Step 17. Pinch to zoom in and out
Zooming in will allow you to view the screen, as your device's screen will likely be much smaller than your computer's screen.

Step 18. Press the Keyboard button to open the controls
This makes it possible to open your on-screen keyboard and access all kinds of shortcuts and configuration options.

Step 19. Press the X button to end the session
After pressing 'Shut Down' to confirm, the connection to the remote computer will be disconnected.
