Method 1 of 4: On a Windows PC
Step 1. Open Start
Click the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 2. In the Start screen, type store
Your computer will now search for the Windows App Store.
Step 3. Click
You should find this option at the top of the Start screen. This is how you open the Windows 10 App Store.
Step #4. Click on the search bar
You can find it at the top right of the App Store window.
Step 5. Type pdf to jpeg and press ↵ Enter
A search will then start within the Store for the application with which you can convert PDF files into.jpg" />
Step 6. Click PDF to JPEG
To do this, click on the two opposing arrows with the words 'PDF to JPEG' below them. By clicking on this you open the website of the application.
Step 7. Click Buy
To do this, click on the gray button to the right of the application icon. PDF to JPEG will then be downloaded to your PC.
This app works in both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
Step 8. When prompted, click Start
You will see this option appear at the bottom right of the screen once the app download process is complete. This is how you open PDF to JPEG.
- If you're not on Start before it disappears again, you can also type pdf converter in Start and then click the app icon at the top of the Start window.
Step 9. Click Select File
It's a round button at the top left of the window. This will open a new window.
Step 10. Select the PDF file
Click on the PDF file you want to convert. You may have to click on a folder in the bar on the left of the window first to see the location of the file.
Step 11. Click Open
You can find it at the bottom of the window. This is how you open the PDF file in the PDF to JPEG program.
Step 12. Click Select Folder
It's a round button at the top of the PDF file converter window.
Step 13. Choose a location for the file
Click a folder on the left of the window to confirm that you want to save your files there.
Step 14. Click Select Folder
This button is in the lower right corner of the window that opens. When you convert the PDF file to a.jpg" />
Step 15. Click Convert
This button is at the top of the conversion program window and you can recognize it by the two circular arrows. That way you will convert the PDF file into one.jpg" />
Method 2 of 4: On a Mac
Step #1. Open Preview
Click twice on the blue icon that looks like two overlapping photos. You'll find Preview in your Mac's Dock.
- If Preview is the default program your Mac uses to open PDF files, simply double-click the PDF file to open it in Preview. If you choose this, go directly to the 'Retry' step File click'.
Step 2. Click on File
You'll find this button on the far left of your Mac's menu bar. Clicking on it will open a drop-down menu.
Step 3. Click Open…
It is one of the options in the drop-down menu. A new window will then open.
Step 4. Select the PDF file
Click on the PDF file you want to convert to a file (or files) in JPEG format.
Step 5. Click Open
This button is located at the bottom right of the window. This is how you open the PDF file you selected within Preview.
Step 6. Click File again
This will open the drop-down menu.
Step 7. Click Run As…
This option is about halfway down the drop-down menu. This is how you open a window.
Step 8. Click on the drop-down box that says 'Format'
This field is at the bottom of the window. Clicking on it opens a drop-down menu.
Step 9. Click on JPEG
This option is at the top of the menu.
Step 10. Choose a resolution for the image
Drag the 'Quality:' slider in the middle of the window to the left for a lower quality, or slide it to the right to improve the quality.
Step 11. Choose a location to save the file
Click on a folder where you want to save the image. On the left side of the window you will see a list of all available folders.
Step 12. Click on Save
This blue button is at the bottom of the window. This is how you save the converted PDF file in the folder you selected.
Method 3 of 4: Using Adobe Acrobat Pro
Step 1. Open a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Click on the white Adobe Acrobat icon with the red stylized letter a on top. Then click File in the menu bar at the top of the window, click To open…, select the PDF file you want to convert to a JPEG file and click To open.
Adobe Acrobat Pro is a program that you have to pay for. If you don't already have it, you'd better use one of the other methods we described above
Step 2. Click on File
It's either a tab in the top left corner of the window (on a Windows PC), or an item in the menu at the top left of the screen (on a Mac).
Step 3. Select Save As…
You'll find this button about halfway down the drop-down menu File. If you select it, a window will open.
Step #4. Select Image
This option is almost at the bottom of the pop-up window Save as…. A new pop-up window will then appear.
Step 5. Click on JPEG
This option is at the top of the drop-down menu. A new window will then open.
Step 6. Choose the location where you want to save the file
Click on a folder where you want to save the file.
- Here you can also adjust the quality of the image by pressing Institutions right click in the drop-down menu and select a quality of your choice for the image.
Step 7. Click on Save
This button is at the bottom of the window. This is how you save the converted PDF file to your computer.
Method 4 of 4: On a smartphone with Android
Step 1. In the browser of your Android device, enter lightpdf.com to open the website
Step 2. Scroll down to see the options for 'Convert PDF files' and click on 'PDF to JPG' to start the conversion process
Step 3. Once you have opened this website you can see the file button 'Choose', and a file field
You can click the button to download the file, or you can click it, drag the file into the field and drop it there.
Step 4. When you click on the 'Choose File' button, a window will open with the file type or folder you can choose from
Step 5. Choose a file type or a file folder and then enter the folder where you saved the PDF file
Step 6. Find the PDF file and click on it
The file will then be loaded directly to the platform.
Step 7. Once the auto-loading process is completed, this tool will immediately process and convert your PDF file automatically
Step 8. The conversion only takes a few seconds
Once the process is complete, click the download button to download the converted file and save it to your smartphone.
