This wikiHow teaches you how to send animated emojis using WhatsApp.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: On an iPhone

Step #1. Make sure your iPhone's Emoji Keyboard is turned on
You do this as follows:
- Open Institutions on your iPhone.
- Tap on General.
- Scroll down and tap Keyboard.
- Make sure that emoji is indicated here. If not, tap Add new keyboard and then tap emoji.

Step 2. Open WhatsApp
This is a green icon with a white phone surrounded by a white circle.

Step #3. Tap Chats
This option is at the bottom of the screen.
If WhatsApp opens a conversation right away, first tap the 'back' button in the top left corner of the screen

Step #4. Tap on a conversation
This opens the conversation.
You can also start a new message by tapping the paper and pencil icon in the top right corner

Step 5. Tap on the notification bar
This is the white field at the bottom of the page.
To start a new message, first tap the contact's name

Step 6. Tap on the 'Keyboard' button
It's the globe-like icon in the lower-left corner of the iPhone keyboard.
If the Emoji keyboard is the only additional keyboard, you can recognize it by the smiley icon

Step 7. Tap the Emoji keyboard if necessary
However, if you have multiple keyboards, you need to tap the smiley icon in the pop-up window. It's above your "Keyboard" icon.

Step 8. Choose an emoji
You can tap one of the headings at the bottom of the screen to select a special group of emojis. You can also swipe left on the emoji keyboard to view all available emojis.

Step 9. Tap on the 'Send' arrow
It's located to the right of the notification bar. This way you send the chosen emoji.
Method 2 of 2: On Android

Step 1. Open WhatsApp
It's a green icon with a white phone inside.

Step #2. Tap on CHATS
This is the heading near the top of the screen.
If WhatsApp immediately opens a conversation, first tap the 'back' button in the top left corner of the screen

Step #3. Tap on a conversation
This will open the appropriate conversation.
You can also press the 'New conversation' button at the bottom right of the screen and then select a contact to start a new conversation

Step #4. Tap on the emoji button
It's the smiley icon on the left side of the message box, at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5. Choose an emoji
You can tap one of the headings above the emojis and browse through the different categories that way, or you can swipe left over the emojis and view them that way.

Step 6. Tap on the 'Send' arrow
It's to the right of the notification bar. In this way, the chosen emoji is sent to the conversation.
