Steps
Method 1 of 2: Send a-g.webp" />
Step 1. Open WhatsApp
WhatsApp's icon is a green square with a white speech bubble and phone inside.

Step #2. Tap on a conversation
- If WhatsApp opens in a conversation, first tap the back button in the top left corner to return to the Chats page.
- If WhatsApp opens in another page, tap the Chats button at the bottom of your screen. This button looks like two speech bubbles.

Step #3. Tap the + button
This can be found in the lower left corner of your screen, next to the text box.

Step #4. Tap on Photo & Video Library
This will open your Camera Roll.

Step 5. Tap a-g.webp" />
You can still view the animated-g.webp" />
You can also send a video from your Camera Roll as a GIF. To do this, tap a video from your Camera Roll, and select the "GIF" option in the preview before submitting the video. Your video will be sent as an animated-g.webp" />
Step 6. Tap the-g.webp" />
If you don't have any GIFs to send yourself, you can use this button to search through the GIPHY and Tenor databases. This button can be found in the bottom right corner of your Camera Roll, next to the magnifying glass.

Step 7. Tap the text field to search for a GIF
The text field is at the top of a list of-g.webp" />
Step 8. Type in a search term
You will see related GIFs as you type.

Step 9. Scroll until you find a suitable GIF

Step 10. Tap the-g.webp" />
You can now preview the-g.webp" />
Step 11. Tap on the Send button
This button looks like a small paper airplane in the bottom right corner of your screen. This will send your-g.webp" />

Step 1. Open a-g.webp" />
If you don't know where to find GIFs, the GIPHY and Tenor databases are good places to start.

Step #2. Hold your finger on the GIF

Step 3. Select Copy from the pop-up menu

Step 4. Open WhatsApp

Step 5. Tap on a conversation
- If WhatsApp opens in a conversation, first tap the back button in the top left corner to return to the Chats page.
- If WhatsApp opens in another page, tap the Chats button at the bottom of your screen. This button looks like two speech bubbles.

Step 6. Hold your finger on the text field
The text field is at the bottom of the conversation, where you type your messages.

Step 7. Tap on Paste from the popup menu
