Last night you thought you posted a brilliant tweet; today you find out that maybe what you wrote wasn't so neat. Do not panic! Deleting a previously posted tweet is very simple. Note: you cannot delete tweets from others, even if they are on your timeline. Follow these steps to learn how to delete a tweet.

Step 1. Sign in with your Twitter account

Go to the Twitter homepage and sign in with your email address and password. Click the "Login" button.

Step 2. Click on your profile

You will find this button at the top left. Now a list of recent tweets will appear. Another way: click on "Tweets" just below the profile button.

Step 3. Find the tweet you want to delete

If you don't see the tweet right away because you posted it a while ago, just scroll down until you see the tweet. If you still can't find it, click "More".

Step 4. Hover over the tweet

Now a list of options will appear. "Delete" is the second option, it shows a trash can.

Step 5. Click "Remove"

A confirmation window will now appear. Click "Delete" again. From then on, the tweet will be removed from your profile page and also from your followers' pages. Finished!
