If you're going to be away from your computer for a while, it's always a good idea to log out of your social media account. Logging out of Twitter is quick and easy -- all you need to do once you've mastered signing out is remember before you walk away from your computer. It's also a good idea to log out of your mobile device if you won't have it for a while, such as when sending it in for repair.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using the Twitter website

Step 1. Click on your profile picture at the top right
This will bring up a small menu.

Step 2. Select 'Sign Out'
This will log you out of Twitter and take you to the login screen.

Step 3. Delete saved information
Some browsers will save your login information to make it easier to log in in the future, but if you are using a public computer this is not good. If you press the 'Login' button and still see your own information entered, you will need to delete your saved information from the browser.
- Chrome - click the key icon to the right of the Chrome address bar while on the Twitter login page. Click the 'X' next to your account to delete saved information.
- Firefox - Click on the 'Twitter, Inc.' button with a lock next to it on the left side of the Firefox address bar. Click on the '>' button to view details, then click on 'More information'. Select 'View saved passwords' and then remove your account from the list.
- Internet Explorer - Click the gear button in the Internet Explorer menu bar and select 'Internet Options.' 'Click on the 'Content' tab and then 'Settings'. in the 'AutoComplete' section. Click on 'Manage passwords' and then find your Twitter account from the list.
Method 2 of 3: Using the Twitter app (Android)

Step 1. Tap the 'Menu' button and select 'Settings'
This will bring up Twitter's app settings.

Step #2. Tap on the account you want to log out of
Since you can have multiple accounts logged into Twitter at the same time, you will have to choose which one to log out of.

Step #3. Scroll down and tap 'Sign Out'
You will find this at the bottom of the menu after selecting an account. Confirm that you want to log out. This will erase all your Twitter account information from your Android device.

Step 4. Log out of leftover account
If you have more than one account logged into the app, use the same process to log them all out.
Method 3 of 3: Using the Twitter app(iPhone, iPad)

Step 1. Tap the 'Me' tab at the bottom of the Twitter app/ This will open your profile screen

Step #2. Tap the gear button next to your profile page
This will bring up your account settings.

Step #3. Tap "Sign Out" at the bottom of the menu
You will be asked to confirm that you want to log out. This will erase all your Twitter account information from the iPhone.

Step 4. Repeat this process for all remaining accounts
The Twitter app supports multiple accounts, so if you want to log out of others you can follow the same process mentioned above.
Tips
- Removing your account from the list will not delete your account completely; this will only take him out of sight.
- Make sure "Remember Me" is turned off if you want to be automatically logged out next time. When you close the page or your browser you will be logged out.
