This wikiHow teaches you how to find friends on Tik Tok on Android using their username and track their account.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: With username
Step #1. Open the Tik Tok app on your device
The Tik Tok icon looks like a white with red and green musical note. You can find it on your home screen or in the Apps menu.
Step 2. Tap on the bottom left
icon.
This opens the search screen on a new page.
Step #3. Tap on the search bar at the top of the page
The search field at the top says "Search Users, Sounds, and Hashtags." By tapping this you can enter a username to search.
Step 4. Type your friend's username in the search bar
As you type, you'll see matching user suggestions.
- Make sure you're on the tab Users are on the search page. If you're on the tab Sounds or hashtags tap User in the top left corner to see user suggestions.
Step 5. Tap the Follow button next to your friend's name
This is a red button on the right side of your screen. With this you follow the selected user directly.
If you want to see your friend's profile first, tap their name in the search results. This opens their profile page
Method 2 of 4: With QR code
Step #1. Open the Tik Tok app on your device
The Tik Tok icon looks like a white with red and green musical note. You can find it on your home screen or in the Apps menu.
Step 2. Tap on the bottom left
icon.
This opens the search screen on a new page.
Step #3. Tap on the box with a bar through it, at the top right corner
This is the QR code scanner.
Step 4. Scan a friend's QR code with a Tik Tok account
Your friend can find this QR code by tapping the search button, tapping the box with a bar through it and then choosing "My QR Code". Your friend can also find it by going to their profile page, tapping the settings button and choosing "My QR Code".
Step 5. Tap on the Follow button next to your friend's name
This is a red button on the right side of your screen. With this you follow the selected user directly.
Method 3 of 4: With phone contacts
Step #1. Open the Tik Tok app on your device
The Tik Tok icon looks like a white with red and green musical note. You can find it on your home screen or in the Apps menu.
Step #2. Tap the person icon at the bottom right
This will open your profile page.
Step 3. Tap on the person icon and the '+' sign at the top left
It's in the top left corner of your profile page.
Step #4. Select Search Contacts
This option displays all your phone contacts and lets you easily follow your friends on Tik Tok.
Step 5. Tap Allow on the confirmation popup
This will allow you to scan all contacts stored in your Android phonebook.
Step 6. Tap the red Follow button next to a contact
Follows a profile on Tik Tok.
Method 4 of 4: With Facebook
Step #1. Open the Tik Tok app on your device
The Tik Tok icon looks like a white with red and green musical note. You can find it on your home screen or in the Apps menu.
Step #2. Tap the person icon at the bottom right
This will open your profile page.
Step 3. Tap on the person icon and the '+' sign at the top left
It's in the top left corner of your profile page.
Step #4. Select Find Facebook Friends
This option will redirect you to sign in to your Facebook account.
Step 5. Log in to your Facebook account
This will scan your Facebook friends and show you a list of everyone you can follow on Tik Tok.
Allow the Tik Tok app to access your Facebook account when prompted
Step 6. Tap the red Follow button next to a person
This will follow their profile on Tik Tok.
