This article will teach you how to log into your Snapchat account.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Logging into Snapchat
Step #1. Open the Snapchat app

If you don't already have Snapchat, download it first
Step 2. Press Login
Step 3. Tap the "Username or Email" field at the top of the page
Step 4. Enter your username or email address
This access information must be identical to the information you provided when you set up your Snapchat account.
Step 5. Press the 'Password' field at the bottom of this page
Step 6. Type your password
Step 7. Press Login
This button is at the bottom of the page. As long as your username (or email address) and password match, you will be redirected to your account.
If you can't remember your password, continue to the next method
Method 2 of 3: Reset your password using a phone
Step #1. Open the Snapchat app

Step 2. Tap the "Username or Email" field at the top of this page
Step 3. Enter your username or email address
You will need this to continue with the password reset procedure.
Step 4. Press Forgot Password?
below the password input field.
Step 5. Press via Phone
This option will send a verification link to your phone in the form of a text message. If the verification is successful, you will be able to reset your Snapchat password.
- If you have not linked a phone number to Snapchat, you will have the option Via email in the following method.
Step 6. Verify that you are human
You will have to participate in a mini-game that proves that you are not a spam program. The instructions for these games vary, so follow the on-screen guidelines.
Step 7. Tap Continue at the bottom of the screen
Step 8. Type your phone number
Step 9. Press Continue
Step 10. Press Send via SMS
This will cause Snapchat to send a verification code to the phone number you entered.
- You can also press Call me to have a Snapchat representative call you with the code.
Step 11. Open the text message from Snapchat
It will contain a six digit code with the phrase "Happy Snapping!" below the code.
Make sure not to close the Snapchat app while doing this
Step 12. Type the six digit code into Snapchat
Do this on the 'Enter confirmation code' page that will open.
Step 13. Press Continue
Step 14. Type a new password twice
Both must match in order to proceed.
Step 15. Hit Continue at the bottom of the page
If the passwords match, your password will be successfully reset. Now you can log in as usual.
Method 3 of 3: Reset a password via email
Step #1. Open the Snapchat app

Step 2. Press the "Username or Email" field at the top of the page
Step 3. Enter your username or email address
You must do this to continue the reset procedure.
Step 4. Press Forgot Password?
. This is below the field to enter your password.
Step 5. Press via email
This option will send a password reset link to your email address registered on Snapchat.
Step 6. Tap the email box above the "I'm not a robot" box
Step 7. Enter your Snapchat email address
Step 8. Tap the box next to 'I'm not a robot'
This option is here to ensure that you are a human user and not a spam program.
- You may need to participate in a mini-game such as selecting each square in a grid that contains a particular image. Then you have to press Verify.
Step 9. Press Submit at the bottom of the page
After pressing Submit, Snapchat will send you a verification code.
Step 10. Open your email address
Step 11. Open the email to reset the password
The sender should be "Team Snapchat" and the subject of the email will be "Snapchat Password Reset".
- If you don't see the email, try searching the folder spam from your email provider (you can also change the folder Updates check if you use Gmail).
Step 12. Hit the link to reset
It's in the middle of Snapchat's email.
Step 13. Type a new password twice
They must agree in order to proceed.
Step 14. Press Change Password
Your Snapchat password has now been reset! You can now log into your Snapchat account.
