Snapchat can lock your account if you use third party apps or plugins, send unwanted or abusive snaps, add too many friends without verifying your account, or if your account has been hacked. If your Snapchat account is temporarily blocked, you can usually log back in after 24 hours. This article will teach you how to open a locked Snapchat account.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using the unlock page

Step 1. Uninstall any apps or plugins for Snapchat
If you use an unofficial third party app or plug-in to access Snapchat, you must completely uninstall the app or plug-in from your iPhone or Android before attempting to sign in again.
In some cases, unofficial apps, which require a cracked iPhone or iPad, cannot be removed completely. If this is the case for you, you will need to update to the latest version of iOS before you can uninstall the app

Step 2. Go to https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/unlock in an internet browser
If your account is temporarily locked, you can use this website on any computer, phone or tablet to unlock it after a few hours. More serious violations may require you to wait up to 24 hours to unlock your account.

Step 3. Log in to your Snapchat account
Enter the same username and password you use to access Snapchat in the app, then click or press 'Sign In'.

Step #4. Click or press Unlock
This is the yellow button at the bottom of the page. When enough time has passed, you'll see a message confirming that your account is now unlocked. If not enough time has passed, you should try again after a few hours.

Step 5. Confirm your Snapchat email address
Once you're logged back in, it's a good idea to verify your email address with Snapchat so it doesn't get deactivated because you added too many friends. This is how you do this:
- Open the Snapchat app on your phone or tablet. The icon resembles a yellow and white ghost.
- Tap the profile icon in the top left corner.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Press 'Email'.
- Enter a valid email address and press 'Save'.
- Enter your Snapchat password and press 'Next'.
- Check your email and open the verification email.
- Press 'Confirm email'.
Method 2 of 2: Contact Snapchat

Step 1. Visit https://support.snapchat.com/en-US/i-need-help in an internet browser
If you are unable to unlock your account after 24 hours using the "Using the unlock page" method, you can still contact Snapchat to have your account unlocked.

Step 2. Click or press the circle next to 'Sign in to my account'
This is the first option under 'How can we help you?'.

Step 3. Click or press the circle next to 'I think my account has been hacked
’ This is one of the options under ‘Oh no! Tell us more about this.”

Step 4. Click or press Yes
It's next to "Anything else you need help with?" at the bottom of the page. This will bring up a form that you can use to send an email to Snapchat.

Step 5. Enter your username, email and phone number in the blank fields provided

Step 6. Type a polite email requesting to recover your account
Use the blank space to explain the situation. Explain why your account was locked and assure Snapchat that you will abide by the terms of use from now on. Be as kind as possible.

Step 7. Click or press Submit
This is the yellow button at the bottom of the screen. If the explanation in your email is polite and understandable, you may be able to convince Snapchat to unlock your account. If your email is rude or if you've made this mistake multiple times, there's a very small chance that your account will be unlocked.
