Method 1 of 3: On iPhone or iPad

This will open the 'News Feed' if you are already logged into Facebook.

  • If you are not logged into Facebook, type your email (or phone number) and password in the top right corner of the page and click To register.

Step #2. Click on Show More under the 'Explore' tab

The 'Explore' tab is on the left side of your News Feed.

Step #3. Click on Reminders

The 'Reminders' app is what creates the 'Reminders' posts you see in your News Feed.

Step #4. Scroll down through your memories

You'll see different statuses, photos, and other messages from today's date for past years.

At the bottom of the page, you'll also see a section dedicated to the days preceding today's date

  • You can share a memory by To share below and then choose the location.
  • This feature is referred to as "Reminders" on the Facebook website and Facebook app. However, the mobile website calls this feature 'On this day', but the operation is the same – it's just an old name that's been around for several years and hasn't changed.
