Would you rather not share your friends list on Facebook with other users? On Facebook, you can hide your friends list if you want. And once you've had enough of a certain "friend"'s messages, you can make sure you don't have to see them again without him/her ever finding out. Read on to find out how to do that.
Method 1 of 2: Method 1: Hide your friends list
Step 1. Open your Facebook profile page
Log in to Facebook and open your profile page.
Step 2. Click "Friends" under your cover photo
Step 3. Click on "Manage"
This is the little square button with the pencil on it.
Step 4. Select "Edit Privacy"
This will open a new window where you can adjust your privacy settings for your friends list.
Step 5. Select the privacy setting you want
Next to "Who can see your friends list?" now click on the drop-down menu to view your privacy settings. If you don't want others to see your friends list, select "Only Me". You can also create a custom list, or choose one of your created lists.
Method 2 of 2: Method 2: Hide a friend's posts from your timeline
Step 1. Find a message from the friend you want to hide
If you no longer want to see a friend's posts, but don't want to unfriend them, you can hide the posts so they don't show up in your timeline.
Step 2. Hold your cursor over the message
You will now see a down arrow on the right side of the message. Click on this arrow to open a menu.
Step 3. Click on "unfollow"
This will delete the message and prevent messages from this person from appearing on your News Feed. You can undo this by clicking the "undo" link, or by going to that friend's profile page and clicking "Follow".
