Creating a photo album on Facebook allows you to share your memories with your friends in a fun and organized way. Step #1. Go to the Facebook homepage

Go to www.facebook.com if you weren't already there. Enter your email address and password and sign up.

Step 2. Select "Add Photos/Video"

You will find this option at the top of your news feed.

Step 4. Choose your photos

Search your hard drive for the photos you want to add. If you have iPhoto you can find your photos there. When you're done selecting your photos, you'll be taken to a new screen where you can start putting together your album. You can select your photos one at a time or you can select several at once:

  • To select one photo at a time, click on a photo and click "Open".
  • To select multiple photos side by side, click on the first photo, press the Shift key and click on the photos you want to select. If you select two photos that are far from each other, you automatically select all photos in between. Click "Open" when you are done selecting multiple photos.

Step 5. Fill in some information about your album

While you wait for your photos to upload, fill out some basic information so your friends can learn a bit more about the album. Use the options at the top of the screen to provide the following information:

  • The title of your album.
  • A caption for the entire album. If you'd like to add an introductory phrase or catchy term to your album, you can type it under "Say something about this album…"
  • Where the photos were taken. That can be as many locations as you want.
  • The date of the album.
  • Remember, you can go back and add more photos, as many times as you want. To do that, click on "Add more photos" at the bottom left of the screen, then you can add more photos in the same way as you did before.

Step 6. Choose whether you want to show the photos in high quality

If you want to do that, click the "High Quality" box at the bottom of the screen. That way it will take longer to upload the album, but you can show your photos in higher quality.

Step 7. Fill in some information about all the photos

If you want you can go through all the photos and add more information, or you can do it with some photos. Here's what you can do:

  • Tag people in the photo. Click on the faces of the people in the photos and type in the correct name to tag them.
  • Add a caption to the photo. You do this by typing in the white area below the photo.
  • Add the date the photo was taken. Click on the small clock at the bottom left to add this information.
  • Add a location. Click on the inverted teardrop symbol at the bottom right and add the location of the photo. You can also do this under the caption, where it says "Where was this taken?".

Step 8. Decide the order of your photos

You can leave the photos in this order, or you can change the order after uploading. To move them you can click on a photo and drag the photo to the desired location. You can also click the "Sort by date" option in the top right corner of the window, this will sort the photos chronologically based on when the photos were taken.

Step 9. Choose your album cover

The first photo in the album is used as the album cover by default. If you want to change that, click the arrow at the top right of the photo and click "Create album cover".

Step 10. Choose the privacy settings

Click on "Friends" or the current setting at the bottom, and select the desired setting. You can choose from the following options:

  • Everybody
  • friends
  • Custom -- This option allows you to set other options such as "Friends of Friends" or make the album visible only to certain people on a list.

Step 11. Click on "Post"

Now your photos will be posted on Facebook. You can return to the album at any time to add and remove photos, or to edit photos.
