This article will teach you how to record a voice on an Android device. Please note this is not about recording a phone call.
Steps

Step 1. Download Easy Voice Recorder
You can download this voice recording app for free from the Google Play Store:
- Open the
Play Store.on your Android.
- Tap the search bar.
- Type easy voice recorder.
- Tap on Easy Voice Recorder in the list of results.
- Tap on to install top of the page.

Step 2. Open Easy Voice Recorder
Tap on To open in the Play Store when the app has finished installing, or tap the app's icon in the shape of a blue microphone.

Step #3. Tap I get it! in the notification
This will open a window where you can control the permissions of apps on your Android.
Step 4. Allow Easy Voice Recorder to access your Android
Tap on Permit for both 'Record audio' and 'Access files' in the notifications. This will allow Easy Voice Recorder to use your Android's microphone and save your recordings.

Step 5. Tap on the 'Record' button
This is an orange and white microphone at the bottom of the screen. Your Android will now start recording through the microphone.

Step 6. Record your voice however you want
Make sure to speak into the microphone, about a foot away from it for the clearest sound.
If your Android has a case that covers or mutes the microphone, it's best to remove it

Step 7. Pause and resume recording if necessary
You can easily pause the recording by tapping the record button at the bottom of the screen. With another tap on the same button you can resume the recording.
This is useful if, for example, you need some time to organize your notes

Step 8. Tap

when you're done recording.
This check mark is to the right of the record button.
- To delete the recording and try again, tap the 'X' to the left of the record button, then tap Yes in the notification.

Step 9. Give your recording a name
If you want, you can change the name of your recording as follows:
- Tap on ⋮ to the right of the recording.
- Tap on Renaming in the drop-down menu.
- Use your Android keyboard to enter a new name (e.g. "Psychology Notes 2019-01-23") in the popup window.
- Tap on Renaming at the bottom of the popup window.

Step 10. Share your recording
If you want to send or share your recording on social media, you can use the share function of the app. Keep in mind that the app you want to share the recording with must be installed on your Android:
- Tap on ⋮ to the right of the recording.
- Tap on To share in the drop-down menu.
- Tap on Display all to see a list of apps you can share your recording with.
- Select an app.
- Fill in the necessary information (e.g. in Gmail you need to enter a recipient), then tap 'Send' or 'Share'.

Step 11. View a list of your recordings
You can see a list of recordings by tapping the tab Listen at the top of the screen. You can play recordings by tapping on a name.
Tips
- Your Android phone will likely have a built-in voice recording app (Samsung has the Samsung Voice Recorder app, for example), but most Android tablets don't have such an app.
- You can also share your voice recording to Google Drive as a backup.
