This article will teach you how to transfer videos from your Android phone or tablet to your PC. Shorter videos can be emailed to yourself. For larger files, it is more convenient to connect your Android to your computer with a USB cable or upload the video file to Google Drive.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Transfer videos from Android to PC via email

Step 1. Tap the icon

on your phone.

Step #2. Press Gallery
This will open your library of photos and videos.

Step 3. Tap the video you want to transfer to PC

Step 4. Press the icon


Step 5. Press the Email option

Step 6. Press inside the To text field
Enter an email address that you can check from your PC.

Step 7. Press Submit

Step 8. Open an internet browser on a PC
Open the email you just sent to yourself. The method you use to open this email will differ depending on your email provider.

Step 9. Right click on the attached video

Step 10. From the pop-up menu, click Save Link As
Depending on your email provider or browser, this option may also be called "Save" or "Download"

Step 11. Click OK
This will open the video on your computer.

Method 2 of 3: Transfer large videos to Google Drive

Step 1. Tap the Google Drive icon to open the app
The icon resembles a green, yellow and blue stylized triangle.
- If you need to download the app, tap the Apps icon at the bottom of the screen, then the Play Store icon, then type "Google Drive" into the search bar at the top of the screen. Select 'Google Drive' from the search results and press 'Install'.
- If this is your first time using the app, you will be prompted to sign in with your Google account credentials.

Step #2. Press the multi-colored icon with the plus sign
This icon is almost at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 3. Tap on the icon named Upload
This icon resembles an upward pointing arrow above a straight horizontal line.

Step 4. Tap on Photos & Videos
This will open your media library.

Step 5. Tap the video you want to transfer to PC and then tap Upload
The option to upload is in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 6. Go to your computer and visit drive.google.com
If you are not currently logged in to Google on your computer, you will be prompted to log in when you visit the website

Step 7. Press Recent
This option is on the left side of the Google Drive screen. You may have to scroll down a bit to see it.

Step 8. Right click on the name of the video you just uploaded
This will open a context menu.

Step 9. In the context menu, click Download
The video will now be downloaded to your computer.
Method 3 of 3: Transfer videos via USB cable

Step #1. Unlock your Android phone or tablet
Enter your passcode to unlock the device.

Step 2. Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable
The narrow end goes into your device and the large end into your computer.
The exact location of the USB plug depends on your hardware, but the mini USB plug is usually at the bottom. On laptops, the port is usually on the side, and on desktop computers, it's usually in the front or back

Step 3. On your device, tap Charge this device via USB

Step 4. Press File Transfer
This will open a file transfer window on the computer.
