This article will show you how to use the Microphone Amplifier app to increase the volume of your microphone on Android.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Download Microphone Amplifier
Step 1. Open the Play Store on your Android
Find and tap it
icon between your apps to open the Play Store.
Step #2. Tap on the search bar
The search bar is at the top of your screen, and it says "Google Play." Tapping it opens your keyboard.
Step 3. Type Microphone Amplifier in the search bar
The search function is not case sensitive. So you don't have to capitalize the name of the app
Step #4. Tap the search button on your keyboard
This looks like a magnifying glass, and is located in the bottom right corner of your screen. You will now see a list with all the results.

Step 5. Tap on the Microphone Amplifier app in the search results
The app has an orange icon with black Android icons, a microphone and a speaker. You will now open the page with details about the app.
Step 6. Tap the green Install button
This button can be found under the name of the app, on the right side of your screen. You will now be prompted in a pop-up window to allow the app to access your media and your microphone.
Step 7. Tap on Accept in this popup
The Microphone Amplifier app now has permission to use your media and microphone. After confirming, the app will be downloaded and installed.
Step 8. Tap on the green Open button
After installing, there will be a green button with 'Open', instead of the 'Install' button. This button closes the Play Store and opens the Microphone Amplifier app.
Part 2 of 2: Turning on the amp
Step #1. Tap on the Open Amplifier button
You now open the settings for the amplifier of your microphone.
Step #2. Slide the Audio Boost button to the right
This will increase the volume of your microphone by adding 'gain'.
If you turn up the volume too much, the sound quality may deteriorate. It is best to keep the amplification between 15 and 25
Step #3. Tap the power icon in the bottom left corner
With this button you apply the gain to your microphone. You can now make calls or record clips with your amplified microphone.
Step 4. Tap the on/off icon again to turn off the amplification
You can always open the app to turn off the amplification.
