This article will show you two different options to retrieve a deleted voicemail message on Android. It can be frustrating to accidentally delete a voicemail message, but the good news is that it is possible to recover the message if you act quickly. On some Android phones you can retrieve a deleted voicemail message through the visual voicemail app, but on others you will have to call your voicemail. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a deleted voicemail message without contacting your carrier if you called your voicemail and hung up or left the voicemail screen.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Find a voicemail in the voicemail service

Step 1. Open the Phone app

This app is usually at the bottom of your home screen. Look among your other apps if the app isn't there.

Step 2. Call your voicemail service number
This number is specific to your provider.
- Call '12339' for your voicemail on KPN Mobile.
- Call '1233' for your voicemail on T-Mobile.

Step 3. Enter your voicemail password when prompted
You may need to contact your carrier if you can't remember your password.

Step 4. Listen to your new or saved voicemail messages
New messages usually play automatically or you can press '1' to listen to your saved messages.

Step 5. Press '7' to delete a voicemail message

Step 6. Press '1' in the 'Play messages' menu

Step 7. Press '9' to 'View Deleted Messages'

Step 8. Press '9' to save the message to your voicemail
If you've already hung up, using a third-party program is the only way to retrieve a voicemail message
Method 2 of 2: Undelete unwanted

Step 1. Open the Phone app

This app is usually at the bottom of your home screen or among your other apps.

Step #2. Press Voicemail
This should be in the lower left corner of the screen.
Some devices have 'Voicemail' as a separate app. If this is the case, search for "Voicemail" among your other apps

Step 3. Tap on a voicemail message in the list

Step 4. Press the Clear button

This will delete the voicemail message.

Step 5. On the pop-up screen at the bottom, press Undo
You only have seconds to do this, so you need to quickly press Undo. Once the pop-up screen disappears, there is no way to find your voicemail message without using a third party program.
On your device, this option may also be called "Undelete"
Tips
- If the above options don't work, try contacting your carrier within 24 hours of deleting the voicemail message. If the voicemail message was not removed from their network, they may be able to help locate the voicemail message. However, this is not a guarantee.
- While there are many third-party programs that can help you recover data from your phone, there is no way to recover deleted voicemail messages unless they have been pre-saved and recorded by a computer or voice recording service.
- On some phones, you can view recently deleted voicemail messages by pressing the trash can icon in your visual voicemail app and recover them from there. Usually, you only have a limited amount of time to do this before your voicemail messages are permanently deleted.
