This wikiHow teaches you how to switch to Street View mode on Android and view photos from a selected location on Google Maps.

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Click the button Explore.
3. Tap and hold a location on the map.
4. Tap the Street View preview in the lower left corner.
Steps

Step 1. Open the Google Maps app on your Android
The Google Maps app looks like a red location pin on a small map icon. You can find it in your Apps menu.

Step #2. Click on Explore button
This button looks like a gray location pin and is located at the bottom of your screen.

Step #3. Find the location you want to see on the map
You can tap your screen and drag the map, or move two fingers apart or together to zoom in and zoom out.
- You can also use the search bar to find a location or coordinate. This one is called Search here and find it at the top of your screen.

Step #4. Tap and hold a location on the map
This will drop a red pin at the selected location. You can see a preview of the Street View image of this location in the lower left corner of the map.

Step 5. Tap on the Street View preview
A preview image appears in the lower left corner when you drop a location PIN. Tapping it will switch the full screen image to Street View.

Step 6. Tap and drag on your screen to view your surroundings
Street View provides a 360 degree view of your selected location.

Step 7. Swipe up and down on blue road lines
So you can travel and walk around in Street View. If a road or street is marked with a blue line on the ground, you can walk through the street by swiping on the blue line.
