In this article, you'll learn how to manually back up your iPhone data, such as photos or notes, to your iCloud account.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Connecting to Wi-Fi

Step #1. Open Settings
That's the gray app with the gear icon, which is usually on your home screen.

Step #2. Tap on Wi-Fi
It's at the top of the menu Institutions.
You must have a WiFi connection to make a backup

Step 3. Slide the button next to Wifi to the right
It then turns green.

Step #4. Click on a Wi-Fi network
Select a network.
Enter a password if prompted
Part 2 of 2: Backing up your iPhone

Step #1. Open Settings
If you're still in the menu Wi-Fi sit, then tap Institutions in the top left corner to return to the page Institutions. Otherwise, open the app Institutions as you have done before.

Step #2. Tap on your Apple ID
That's the top part of the screen where your name is written, and a photo if you've added one.
- If you are not logged in, tap Sign in to your iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password, then tap login.
- If you have an older version of iOS, this step may not be necessary.

Step #3. Tap on iCloud
It's in the second part of the menu.

Step 4. Select the data you want to back up
Slide the buttons next to the apps, such as photos or Calendars, to the right so that they turn green to back up the data.
The data in the apps that you leave off (the button is to the left and is white), will not be backed up

Step 5. Scroll down and tap iCloud Backup
It's at the bottom of the second section.
- If you have an older version of iOS it might be called Backup.

Step 6. Slide the button next to iCloud Backup to the right
It then turns green.

Step 7. Tap Back Up Now
The selected data on your iPhone will now be backed up manually.
