This wikiHow teaches you how to find the MAC address on your Android phone or tablet. MAC stands for 'Media Access Control' and is a type of identifier assigned to devices connected to a network. Knowing a device's MAC address can be useful for diagnosing network problems.
Step 1. Open your Android's settings
You can swipe down from the top of the screen and tap
, or tap
in the list of apps.
Step #2. Tap About Phone
It's at the bottom of the settings menu. If your Android device is a tablet, it says About tablet.
On certain newer devices like the Moto G5, you'll find this option by first scrolling and tapping System, then scroll down to find the option
Step #3. Tap on Status
This is located at the top of the screen.
Step #4. Scroll down and look for 'Wifi MAC Address'
You can find this in the middle of the page.
