As an eBay user, you have the option to block other eBay users you don't want to do business with. The users you block will not be able to bid on your items or buy from you, and will not be able to contact you regarding the items you have posted. In addition to blocking specific users, you can also block all users who are located in specific regions or countries. Follow the steps and methods described below to add users to your eBay blocked list.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Block individual users

Step 1. Go to and click To register.
If you're not automatically signed in, you'll need to click "Sign Up" in the top right corner.

Step 2. Log in with your username and password
Enter the email address and password associated with your eBay account and click 'Sign In'.
- You can also click "Sign in with Facebook" or "Sign in with Google" to sign in with your Facebook or Google account.
- If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you may need to enter a 6-digit code that you receive via text message to log in.

Step 3. Click Help & Contact
This is the fourth option in the top left corner of eBay's homepage.

Step 4. Type Block a buyer in the search bar
Click the bar next to the magnifying glass icon at the top of the page and type "Block a buyer" in the search bar. This will display a link to a form you can fill out to block a user.

Step 5. Click Block a buyer
This is the blue button that appears above the search results.

Step 6. Type the eBay username of the user you want to block
Use the text field under "Blocked Bidder/Buyer List" to type the username of all users you want to block.
If you are entering multiple eBay usernames, separate each name with a comma

Step 7. Click Submit
This is below the text field at the bottom of the form. The eBay users you've blocked will no longer be able to contact you regarding your listings, nor will they be able to buy or bid on your items.
- To unblock a user, you need to follow steps 1 to 6 to return to your blocked users list. Delete a blocked user from the list and click Submit.
- To unblock all users in your blocked list, click "Restore list" above the blocked list.
Method 2 of 2: Block users based on region or country

Step 1. In an internet browser, go to

Step 2. Click Sign In

Step 3. Log in with your username and password
Enter the email address and password associated with your eBay account and click 'Sign In'.
- You can also click "Sign in with Facebook" or "Sign in with Google" to sign in with your Facebook or Google account.
- If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you may need to enter a 6-digit code that you receive via text message to log in.

Step 4. Click on My eBay
It's in the top right corner on eBay's website.

Step 5. Click on Account
This is the third tab above your account summary page.

Step 6. Click on Site Preferences
This is the sidebar menu on the left.

Step 7. Scroll down and click on Shipping Preferences
This is the link at the bottom of the page. This will bring up the Manage Shipping Preferences page.

Step 8. Click Edit next to "Shipping Locations Excluded"
It's near the bottom of the Manage Shipping Settings page. The "Edit" link is on the right side of the page next to each option in the menu.

Step 9. Place a checkmark

next to the locations you want to block.
You have the option to select domestic regions, entire continents, and PO Boxes.

Step 10. Click on Save
This will save your new shipping settings. Users located in the countries you have blocked will no longer be able to buy or bid from you on the items you offer.
To apply your new settings to all your current articles, you must check the box next to "Apply to all articles currently live offered."
Tips
- You can block up to 5,000 individual eBay users.
- Examples of scenarios in which you may want to block a specific user is when you have had negative experiences with that user in the past or the user is new and has no or negative feedback.
- You can unblock an eBay use at any time by returning to the eBay Bid and Manage Buyers overview page, delete the user's name from the blocked list, and then click Submit.
