Solving a problem with customer service can be frustrating at times, but Groupon offers some simple options to help you out. First, check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and general information about your Groupon. If that doesn't help, you can contact Groupon customer service via live chat, email, or phone.


Method 1 of 3: Using the FAQ

Step 1. Open the FAQ page

The Frequently Asked Questions page contains answers to the most frequently asked questions by customers. You can use this option to diagnose the problems you are experiencing.

If you're not already logged into your Groupon page, please do so. You use the email address with which you registered your Groupon account and the corresponding password

Step 2. Click on the search bar Enter your question here

Fortunately you don't have to manually search through all the FAQ topics, using the search bar in the middle of the page you can find the information related to your problem.

Step 3. Type your question in the search bar

For example, if you have a problem canceling your account, you can type How do I cancel my account?.

Step 4. Then click on the green button with the magnifying glass on it

It's to the right of the search bar. By clicking on this you start the search for the entered subject.

When you type in the search bar, a drop-down menu may appear. If you see your topic in the displayed search options, you can click on it directly without typing further

Step 5. View the search results

These appear below the search bar. Remember that you may see something different than what you typed. If there are no search results that exactly match your search, try to find similar complaints from other users in the results list.

Step 6. Click on a question title that matches yours

While you may not see your specific question in this list, there probably will be one that comes close. Look for matching words in other questions to find the answer you're looking for.

Method 2 of 3: Using the self-service options

Step 1. Go to 'Help'

Log into your Groupon account and use the Groupon customer service page.

Step 2. Select your order

After logging in, select the order you need help with and click choose.

Step #3. Check out the available options

If self-service options are available for the order, they will appear on the screen. This includes the options to change an order, cancel an order, request a refund, exchange a product for Groupon credits, and return a product.

Method 3 of 3: Chat with customer service

Step #1. Open the Groupon Customer Service page

Use this page to attempt to contact customer service directly. The staff should be able to help you directly with your problem.

Step 2. Type 'help' in the search bar

The search bar is located in the middle of the page, directly below the text How can we help you?

Step #3. Click Continue

After typing 'help', click the green button marked Continue at the bottom right of the page.

Step 4. Click Chat

When you click Continue, you will see a green button labeled Chat in the middle left corner of the page.

Step 5. Click on the button and enter your details and your question in the new screen that opens

Before starting your chat, make sure you have entered the following information correctly:

  • Your name
  • your e-mail adress
  • Your question or problem

Step 6. Click on Start Chatting

After you have entered your details, click on Start chatting at the bottom right of the screen. You will then be connected with a Groupon employee. Hopefully your problem will be solved soon.
