AOL Favorites is an option available to you when you apply for an account for AOL. It allows users to bookmark a website and save it to their account. If you want to transfer these bookmarks to another browser, you can do so with a plugin for your browser or by copying them manually. You can also move your favorites from one version of AOL to another, should you be using a new computer.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using the Favorites Plugin (Chrome, Firefox and Safari)

Step 1. Open AOL Favorites in your web browser
This plugin can be installed in Chrome, Firefox or Safari. If you are using Internet Explorer or another browser, you can transfer the favorites manually, or still download and use one of the above browsers, by exporting favorites.
You can access the favorites page directly at aol.com/favorites/

Step 2. Download the Favorites plugin
Click "Download Now" to install the plug-in in your browser.

Step 3. Click the AOL Favorites button after the plugin is installed

Step 4. Click on "Sign In" and enter your AOL login details

Step 5. Click the Gear button in the Favorites menu for plugins

Step 6. Click the "Export" button to export all your Favorites to your browser
Your favorites are now bookmarked in your browser.

Step 7. Uninstalling the plugin (if any)
After exporting your favorites, you can remove the plug-in again if you are no longer going to use it.
Method 2 of 3: Moving your favorites manually

Step 1. Sign in to the AOL Desktop
If you only want to move a few favorites, it may be easier to move them manually.

Step 2. Click on the "Favorites" button
In older versions it may be necessary to click on "Favorite Places" as well.

Step 3. Right click on one of the favorite sites you want to move and select "Edit"

Step 4. Select the web address

Step 5. Right click on the selected address and click "Copy"
You can also press Ctrl-C.

Step 6. Open the browser where the favorites should go

Step 7. Right click on the address bar and select "Paste"
You can also use the Ctrl-V key combination.

Step 8. Add the address to your browser's bookmarks by pressing the bookmark button

Step 9. Repeat for all Favorites you want to move
Method 3 of 3: Moving from an old to a new computer

Step 1. Log in to AOL on your old computer
The fastest way to move your favorites from an old computer to a new one is to add your favorites to your personal folder.
Older versions of AOL store your Favorites online, so you don't need to log into AOL on your old computer. This is only necessary with AOL 10

Step 2. Click on the "Favorites" button
Select "Manage Favorites".

Step 3. Drag your Favorites to your personal folder
Your personal name has the same name as your screen name.

Step 4. Sign in to AOL on your new computer

Step 5. Click on the "Favorites" button
Select "Manage Favorites".

Step 6. Open your personal folder and drag Favorites to the main Favorites folder
If you are using AOL 10, you are now done. If you have an older version, read on.

Step 7. Click the "Favorites" button and select "Import AOL Favorites"

Step 8. Click on "Continue"
AOL will search for all Favorites you have saved online. Click "OK" when the import is complete.
