Steps

Method 1 of 2: Connecting to a PC

Connect a HyperX Cloud Headset Step 1

Step 1. Connect the headset to the control box

The control box is the small box with volume controls, headset and microphone ports. Plug each cord connected to the headset into the appropriate label port on the PC.

  • If your headset only has one cord, plug it into the 1/8” jack on the switch box.
  • Your headset comes with an extension cord. If you need more slack, connect the headset connector(s) to the extension cord and connect the extension cord to the electrical box.

Connect a HyperX Cloud Headset Step 6

Step 1. Connect the headset to the control box

The control box is the small box with volume controls, headset and microphone ports. Plug each cord connected to the headset into the corresponding label port on the mobile device.

  • If your headset only has one cord, plug it directly into the headphone jack on the side of your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. You don't need the switch box.
  • You cannot use your headset's microphone function on a mobile device. This is not a problem as phones, tablets and most laptops have microphones already set up and ready to use.

Step 2. Connect the control box to the splitter cable

The splitter cable has a 1/8″ connection on one end and two 1/8″ connections on the other. Connect the two cables running from the control box to each marked port on the splitter. This turns the two signals into one.
