Gallade is a rare Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon, first introduced in Generation IV. He is a mighty warrior and sword master. His Psychic attacks also make him quite versatile. It can be difficult to get hold of, especially in certain versions of the game. Start at Step 1 below to get your hands on your very own Gallade!

Steps

Get Gallade in Pokemon Step 1

Step 1. Get a male Ralts

Gallade evolves from Kirlia, who in turn evolves from Ralts. Only a male Kirlia can evolve into a Gallade. Since it is difficult to find a Kirlia, you should try to catch a Ralts. Note: If you can get a male Kirlia by using trading or by catching a wild, you can proceed to step 3.

  • Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald – You can catch a Ralts on Route 102, which connects Oldale Town and Petalburg City. A Ralts is a rare Pokémon, so it may take you a while to find one.
  • Pokémon Diamond and Pearl – You can catch a Ralts on Route 203 and 204. To encounter it you must use the Poké Radar. There's also a chance you'll find a Kirlia, which will save you some time.
  • Pokémon Platinum – You can find a Ralts on Route 208, 209 and 212. With the Poké Radar you can also find a Kirlia on Route 212 and Route 209.
  • Pokémon Black and White – You can find a Ralts in the White Forest in Pokémon White, but those who play Pokémon Black will not be able to find any Ralts. The latter will have to trade with another game version to get a Ralts.
  • Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 – The only way to get a Ralts is to play the trading game in Nimbasa City with Curtis or Yancy. You will receive a Ralts as the third Pokémon, which can be either male or female.
  • Pokémon X and Y – You can find a Ralts on Route 4, in both the yellow and red flowers. It's a rare Pokémon, so this may take a while.

Step 2. Evolve your male Ralts into Kirlia

The Ralts must first reach level 20 before they can evolve into Kirlia. You can either engage in battles to gain the necessary experience, or you can use Rare Candies to level up the Ralts.

The "Exp. Share' item will make the Ralts evolve faster
