Most email clients have a limit on the size of attachments you can send via email, which sometimes makes it impossible to send large video files and similar media. But popular email clients such as Gmail and Yahoo have recently made changes to their services, allowing users to send large files that exceed the default limit. Follow the steps in this article to learn how to send large video files to friends, family, and other people.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using Google Drive in Gmail

Step 1. Sign in to your Gmail account at

Step 2. Click “Compose” to open and start a new email message

Step 3. Go to the “+” symbol at the bottom of the Compose window
A series of buttons with additional options for emailing will be displayed.

Step 4. Click on the image of Google Drive
The Google Drive icon is usually found on the right side of the paperclip, labeled “Insert files using Drive.”

Step 5. Click on “Select files from your computer

Step 6. Select the large video file you want to attach to the email
Google Drive allows you to attach any file up to 10 Gb.

Step 7. Click on “Upload
” The file you selected will be uploaded to Google Drive.

Step 8. Wait for the video file to be fully uploaded to the Google Drive
This process can take from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection.
Step 9. Go to the “+” symbol at the bottom of the Compose window and click “Insert” after the video has been uploaded to Google Drive all the way
This will attach the video to the email in the form of a link that users can click to view and download the file to their own computers.

Step 10. Click “Send” after you finish writing your email
The large video file will then be sent to the recipients you have chosen.
Method 2 of 3: Using SkyDrive in Windows Mail

Step 1. Sign in to SkyDrive with your Microsoft username and password via SkyDrive
com.

Step 2. Go to the folder within SkyDrive where you want to upload the large video file
You will need to upload the video file to SkyDrive before you can send it as an email attachment.

Step 3. Tap or click the “Upload” button

Step 4. Locate the video file you want to upload to SkyDrive and tap it
You can upload a video up to 2 GB.

Step 5. Tap or click on “Open
” The selected video file will start uploading to SkyDrive.

Step 6. Wait for the video file to finish uploading to SkyDrive
The upload procedure can take from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the file and the speed of the internet connection.

Step 7. Click on the video file after it is uploaded to SkyDrive

Step 8. Click on “Sharing
”

Step 9. Choose your preferred sharing method from the list of options shown
You have the option to share the video via email, social media or via a link that you can copy and paste into your email or a browser.

Step 10. Fill in the required information for the sharing method you selected
For example, if you chose to share the video file via email, enter the recipient's email address. Your video file will then be sent to the specified email address.
Method 3 of 3: Using Dropbox in Yahoo Mail

Step 1. Go to Dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/login and click on “create an account
”
If you already have a Dropbox account, skip step #5

Step 2. Enter your name, email address and password for your Dropbox account

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the Dropbox application
Dropbox is a cloud storage application that allows you to store and share large files.

Step 4. Wait for Dropbox to finish installing on your computer
After installation, the application will have created a folder on your computer called “Dropbox,” which you can view through Windows Explorer or Finder on the Mac.

Step 5. Locate the large video file on your computer that you want to send via email

Step 6. Drag the video file into the folder of Dropbox on your computer
You can send video files as attachments up to 150 MB in size using Dropbox in Yahoo Mail.

Step 7. Go to Yahoo Mail at http://us.mail.yahoo.com/ and sign in to your email account

Step 8. Click “Compose” to start a new email

Step 9. Click the arrow next to the attachment options icon
This one looks like a paper clip.

Step 10. Select “Share from Dropbox” from the possible options

Step 11. Click “OK” when prompted to link your Dropbox account to your Yahoo Mail

Step 12. Sign in to Dropbox using your email address and password

Step 13. Click “Link Account” to link Dropbox to Yahoo Mail
Yahoo Mail will then list all the files you've recently uploaded to Dropbox.

Step 14. Select the video file you want to attach to your Yahoo Mail message and click “Choose
”

Step 15. Click “Send” after composing the message
The large video file you pinned via Dropbox will then be sent to the recipient.
